For the history enthusiast
Jersey is full of history, home to one of the 10 oldest buildings in the world, and an extremely important palaeolithic site, which is fuelling research about life 250,000 years ago. You can also visit our two impressive medieval castles, Mont Orgueil and Elizabeth Castle. Each has a long and exciting history that spans hundreds of years.
In more recent times, the Channel Islands were the only part of the British Isles to be under German occupation during the Second World War. As a result of this, Jersey has many WWII bunkers and towers to explore, and the purpose-built underground war hospital houses a museum where you can learn more about the occupation.

For the nature lover
If nature is more your thing, why not bring your hiking boots and explore Jersey’s impressive north coast? Rugged cliffs and views of France and the other Channel Islands make it the perfect place to have a stroll, with pubs dotted along the way for that well-deserved post-hike lunch.
Jersey is also great for cycling, with many green lanes and cycle paths to make the most of. It is a great way to explore the island, be it for a quick spin or challenging yourself to an around-the-island bike ride, which can be completed in a few hours.
On your adventures, you may spot some beautiful wildlife, including dolphins, seals, and puffins. Inland, keep an eye out for our red squirrels, which you may even spot in the grounds of Longueville. No trip to Jersey is complete without a visit to Jersey Zoo, which, with conservation at its heart, is home to more than 100 endangered species.

For the foodie
Our island has a rich food culture with many traditional dishes to try, such as Jersey bean Crock, Jersey Wonders, and Black Butter. Of course, the iconic Jersey cow produces outstanding dairy, and from spring until early summer, you will get the chance to enjoy freshly dug Jersey Royal potatoes. With our coastal location, we also have a fantastic seafood offering, including lobster, oysters, and scallops.
For such a small island, we are very fortunate to have a great selection of wonderful, locally run restaurants, cafes, bakeries, pubs, and wine bars. Please contact us for our suggestions on where to eat and drink.

For families
From sandy beaches perfect for making sand castles, to real castles which were once home to knights, Jersey is the ideal location to let your children (and their imagination) run wild. Jersey has many activities suited for the whole family, such as visiting Jersey Zoo, or perhaps even the trampoline park!
There are also many family-friendly restaurants and cafes on the island, with kids’ menus perfect for your little ones.
